Due to the sweeping changes of last week’s update, there are no card changes this week (or rulebook changes or scenario changes). Please continue testing all of the changes from the last update, and be sure to let us know what you think!
As many of you have noticed, the gap between the number of champions available in our early access testing and the number of champions that were announced during the Kickstarter campaign is closing very rapidly. With just two more champs, both of which will be revealed in the coming weeks, we’ll complete the roster of all Kickstarter champions as models available to play in your early access games.
This is also the cutoff point we’ll be using for adding new champions to the early access program. For future champions, we’ll be using a more traditional release method of presenting information on blogs (and Kickstarter updates) leading up to the product release. The place for ‘spoilers’ in the gaming world is an interesting and divisive one, but there’s no denying that at least some gamers out there appreciate the opportunity for surprises right before release rather than having all information available many months in advance.
However, we also recognize that some of you don’t mind peeking at the Christmas presents and would like to stay involved in our playtest process.
So we will be opening up our external playtest program for Godtear to several additional groups at this time. What does it take to become a Godtear external playtest group? We’re glad you asked.
- Group members must be willing to playtest Godtear at least once a week. (Yes, we know you’ll miss a week now and then due to holidays and such.)
- Each group member will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement legally binding them to keeping secret the confidential information they learn during playtesting.
- Groups will be selected based on their responses to a brief questionnaire.
If you’d like to lead one of these groups, please email DC@Steamforged.com for the next steps.
Thanks, and have fun!
