A bloody mob football game of intense action and high stakes, Guild Ball gives fans of tabletop miniatures games a new, intuitive game with vast depth, complex strategy, and amazing miniatures.
Players take on the role of coach and go head-to-head against an opposing guild—the first team to score 12 victory points wins the match. But get ready for blood to meet dirt, players bring dirty knives, traps, poison, smoke bombs, and more to each match. Victory comes from anticipation, positioning, bluffing, and resource management as coaches use their players’ unique plays and counter plays to take out opponents and score goals.
Players use various Plot and Agent cards to bribe, steal, and earn favour as they compete to be the first to recruit the new star player. But it takes more than simply playing the hand you’ve been dealt to win. Lying about the card you play (and getting away with it) will grant powerful bluff bonuses and accelerate your victory. Just don’t get caught—it will cost you valuable favours to save face!
If you’re a fan of compact, quick-paced card games that involve betraying your friends, this is sure to be a must-have. Easy to learn, addictive, and fast, what’s not to like? One game of Shadow Games only takes about 15 minutes to play.
The Dark Souls board game is a brutally hard exploration miniatures game for 1–4 players. Prepare to die.
The game features a "fast set-up, long reveal" mechanism that gets you into the game quickly and builds the location as you explore. The sense of danger is palpable as you discover new, dangerous locations and the monsters that inhabit them. The core combat mechanics and enemy behavior system force deep strategic play and clever management of stamina to survive.
Dark Souls: The Board Game comes with numerous boss and mini-boss encounters—including one against the Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough—and utilizes an innovative behavior mechanism so no two encounters are ever the same, giving the game near infinite replayability.
