We’ve seen quite a few queries about how production for Resident Evil™ 2: The Board Game is going over the last week or so and want to thank our awesome community for their patience. We’re deeply appreciative of each and every one of you, and have a bonus update in addition to the regular Monday updates you’ve come to anticipate.
A few weeks back we received the first ever pre-production samples in at SFG HQ. These samples were cast in Poly Urethane (PU), a brittle resin type of plastic which allows us to check the detail level of the miniatures before beginning production proper. This is critical to ensure the quality of the miniatures that backers will get and that SFG expect from all our products. As expected, although the samples looked fantastic, we had some revisions which needed to be addressed and this was passed onto our production partners.
These changes have now been made, and today we received the first ever batch of Resident Evil™ 2: The Board Game production models in Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). These are the final models which our backers will receive in their copies of Resident Evil™ 2: The Board Game, and we’re very excited to see them arrive!
The next step is to send these guys off to Capcom for their final approval, but just before they get packed up again, we thought you guys might appreciate seeing some of them…

Things are still moving ahead at full speed behind the scenes – and we’ll be back at the start of next week with our regular update as usual, including more of the Capcom approved and finalised tile artwork.
Until next time!
