Just under four years ago, on September 16th, we sent out a cryptic call to adventure. The response was overwhelming, as thousands of players from around the world poured into our ‘tavern’ to await what lay in store.

Now, get ready to jump back into the fray with Bardsung: Tale of the Forsaken Glade. Bigger and better than ever, this epic new dungeon crawl board game is coming soon to Gamefound.

We’re so excited to finally (officially) announce the next standalone Bardsung game!

(If you’ve been hanging out in the Bardsung tavern — aka the Facebook group — you’ve probably seen Sherwin sharing hints and spoilers already.)

Enter the Forsaken Glade

The world of Bardsung is filled with tales of legendary heroes, sung by bards who travel from tavern to tavern. Players live out their versions of these fables, exploring branching paths to create their own legends.

Now, far from the Ancient Forge of the first game, a new tale unfolds.

Forsaken Glade is the song of a sprawling forest realm where gods once walked, yet now withers from the corrupting influence of a vile black dragon. Abandoned by their gods, the elves have waged war against the creature, yet only sacrifices have held the decay at bay.

There, a group of heroes must help bring the forest back from the brink of annihilation. Not only will they have to navigate the labyrinthine woods, but the corrupted threats and clashing peoples that lurk within.

Twisted fae creatures like the Overseer; wretched, multi-limbed cultists who feed on the dragon’s dark aura; hostile Rustblood Orc tribes with ever-burning furnaces, and uneasy treaties with the elves themselves.

Forsaken Glade builds on the exploration engine of the first ENNIE award-winning Bardsung game, where every choice shapes your adventure. Each map is procedurally generated based on your decisions, making every campaign unique as your story unfolds. 

Play true solo or cooperatively with up to five players in fast-paced turns, building your unique hero with deep customisation and multiclass options. 

Combat puzzles are even more advanced. Positioning and teamwork are essential, with enemies evolving and adapting to your strategy. But not every problem can be solved with a sword, as challenging non-combat encounters will also test your heroes. 

Step into a haunting new setting, populated by a plethora of stunning and grotesque denizens of the forest. Explore, battle, and leave your mark on the Forsaken Glade as your legend unfolds.
