About Epic Encounters: Hall of the Orc King
In winter, the Orc King’s followers launch brutal raids on nearby settlements before vanishing into the snow. All the while, rumours swirl that the King grows stronger, his ambitions grander, and his army greater. Can you brave the wilderness to track the frost orcs and infiltrate their icy halls?
Written by Richard August (Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, The Terminator RPG, Animal Adventures, Lead Writer for Epic Encounters), Hall of the Orc King takes players on a frosty foray in August's signature style — classic adventures through a modern lens.
We asked Richard to sum up the adventure:
"Hall of the Orc King is designed to be pretty lethal if you play badly, or to serve up an epic victory if you play smart. It also gives you the chance to be hit in the face with a spinal column wielded by an orc chef. What more could you ask for?"
And here's a spoonful of what Hall of the Orc King has in store for adventurers willing to brave those icy halls:
Voting ends August 27, and the results will be announced September 17. So, head over to the ENNIE Awards now to vote for Hall of the Orc King as Best Adventure!
