Godtear Miniature Painting Competition
Are you a champion painter or more of a Picass-no?
Either way, grab a brush and your favourite champion mini, because we’re hosting the first official Godtear painting competition—with a SUPER rare prize for five lucky winners!
The competition is open to all skill levels. So, if you feel like showing off, attempting your first paint job, or just need motivation to make a dent in your backlog, it’s the perfect opportunity.
How do I enter?
There are two ways to enter:
1. Submission Form
The first way is through the submission form, which you can find by clicking the button below.
Simply upload a well-lit photo of your painted Godtear champion, fill in the details, and we’ll do the rest. Note: You will need a Google account to upload your photo this way.
Alternatively...
2. Email Entry
If you don’t have a Google account, you can email your painted miniature photo to us at marketing (at) steamforged.com.
What can I enter into the contest?
Any Godtear champion! Painted, of course.
You don’t have to paint their warband or banner, either—though it might help your photo stand out against the other entries.
Can I customise it? Does it need basing?
You don’t need to base it, but based miniatures often look better on photos.
A little customisation is okay, so long as the final piece can easily be recognised as the champion it started as.
Picture formatting?
After you’ve spent all that time painting, make sure the photo you submit does your masterpiece justice. We recommend taking a well-lit, high quality picture against a white background.
Your entry will be cropped to fit a 1:1 ratio (square) social image, so keep that in mind when taking photos.
When is the deadline for entry?
The deadline for entry is 23:59 GMT, March 21, 2021 through the entry methods listed above.
Voting will take place between March 22 to March 29, 2021. Which brings us on to...
How will the winners be chosen?
Every valid entry will be cropped and placed in this template by us:
Next, we’ll upload them all to the SFG Facebook Page. Once they’re all live, we’ll let you know via email, and the voting will begin!
How do people vote?
Anyone can vote by interacting with your photo on Facebook. The four photos with the most reactions, comments, and shares on March 29 will be the winners!
So, make sure to get your friends, family, allies, enemies, gaming groups, and that person you knew in high school and are still friends with on Facebook for some reason, to show their support for your masterpiece.
Why? For the social kudos, of course! Not enough? Well, we did mention a super rare prize...
(One winner will also be drawn randomly from all entrants who don't win the vote, so there is still a chance at winning, even if you are a picass-no.)
What can I win?
Five winners will be sent our super rare, extra limited edition, only five in the world, ‘Death Rangosh’, pictured in grey below besides classic Rangosh:
You read that right, champion. There are only five of these in the world, and one of them could be yours...
