Lumberjacks, AdeptiCon, Playmats & More! | Guild Ball

Hey sports fans! As the new year is now upon us, we're excited to share some updates for Guild Ball to give you an idea of what’s ahead. 

We're going to give an update on the new Game Plan Deck, the new Lumberjacks Guild, our plans for AdeptiCon, and new Guild Ball accessories that you can pick up right now. What are you waiting for? The news is all down there!

Game Plan Deck Development

We’re thrilled to announce development for the new Game Plan Deck—which we talked about in this update— officially wrapped in December, and is now in final editing.

Developed with the Guild Ball Community Project (GBCP), this deck is a fresh take on a key tactical aspect of Guild Ball. Expect some fun surprises that will shake up the way your matches play out.

For new players, or those who’ve recently returned to the game, the Game Plan Deck helps determine the Initiative for each turn of the game after the first. These cards also sometimes grant bonus influence, and feature a special rule that takes effect for that turn. While we can’t spill all the details just yet, you’ll start seeing previews of the new cards soon!

The deck will be available as a physical product later this year. Currently, we're expecting to release in Spring/Summer 2025, so stay tuned for more updates. As we get closer to the date, we'll be able to give a firmer timeline.

Lumberjacks Guild Development

We also have an update on our other project in the pipeline with the GBCP—the Lumberjacks Guild. The Lumberjacks have finished going through a collaborative redesign process, and active development and playtesting of the Masons new minor guild is already in full swing.

We’re targeting a mid-to-late 2025 release. We'll keep our axe on the grindstone and let you know when we have further updates on them.

Guild Ball at AdeptiCon

A particularly exciting piece of news—official Guild Ball events are making a triumphant return to AdeptiCon this year!

We’re running two Regional Cup events, with open play available all weekend as well. If there’s enough demand on the weekend, we've got some capacity to run even more events, too. Ball's in your court!

New Playmats and Dice Sets

Finally, we’ve partnered with Frontline Gaming to roll out some brand new, neoprene Guild Ball playmats! Here's a glimpse of what they look like:

These playmats are available now on the Frontline Gaming store.

We've also recently partnered with Baron of Dice to create custom dice sets for each of the guilds. Pick some up for yourself here!
