Newsmachine: Warmachine at the 2026 Manchester GT
The UK Warmachine scene has a date with destiny. Not only that, but it’s in our hometown of sunny Manchester*!
For the first time ever, the Manchester Grand Tournament — the biggest tabletop gaming event in the North West, featuring massive tournaments for systems like Warhammer 40K, Horus Heresy, and Kill Team — will add Warmachine to its 2026 line up.
Not only that, but the Manchester GT tournament will be an Iron Gauntlet EU Qualifier. To use Manchester slang, get in!

Tickets go on sale today, September 19. The event itself takes place February 21-22, 2026, so you’ve got plenty of time to prep your lists and maybe even try out a new army or two. (Checked out Old Umbrey or Gravediggers yet…?)
Hosted by the excellent folks at UKTC, the Manchester GT draws hundreds of players from around the world across multiple gaming systems, priding itself on quality, organisation, and fair competition. And now, with your help, Warmachine can make its mark.
Rich Loxam, our co-founder and CEO, says:
“Warmachine being played at the Manchester GT just goes to show how much the game is growing in the UK. With staple tournaments like the Welsh Masters and Warmanchester already drawing close to triple digits in terms of player numbers, and multiple events every quarter, the Warmachine scene is on the rise in a big way, and the GT is an excellent feather in the cap of a healthy UK matched play circuit. Not to mention Lock & Load EU, which we’ll have more news on soon."
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with an excellent organisation like the UKTC, who’ve done so much to grow the UK wargaming community. Manchester isn’t the only UKTC event where you’ll be seeing Warmachine. Look out for us at the London GT in late 2026!”
As the biggest gaming event in the North West, the UKTC prioritises fair gameplay, camaraderie, and a premier tournament setup with premium tables and stunning terrain. Join a community of like-minded people, connect with friends, and enjoy being part of something. There’s even a dedicated hobby zone where you can get your paint on!
If you can’t wait for February, click here to check out upcoming Warmachine events. From Australia to Canada, there’s plenty going on, including team events and solo tournaments. Not to mention the Warmachine World Team Championship taking place this October in Sweden with over 30 teams, which you’ll be able to watch live with Moment of Clarity.
Wherever you live, one thing is clear: there’s never been a better time to play Warmachine.

*Manchester is not at all sunny. Especially not in February. Bring your umbrella.
