Cryxmas Necrofactorium Shopping Guide
Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter
The perfect way to start building a Cryx Necrofactorium army, the Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter includes a 30 point strike force that’s ready to play out of the box. It’s designed to be a great way to pick up Warmachine, containing six unique models of varying types.
The character warjack Hades forms a solid vanguard for the force, advancing into the fray quickly to pick off enemies with the Wraith Shot ability, further supported by the special abilities of the character solo, Master Necrotech Chatterbane.
A character unit of spellcasters known as the Furies rounds out the strike force, able to boost the melee attack damage of friendly undead models.
And commanding your unholy strike team is Wraithbinder Nekane, who can suffer damage to cast spells or boost rolls without spending focus points!
Cryx Necrofactorium Battlegroup Box
The Cryx Necrofactorium Battlegroup Box is a 20 point force including a warcaster and three warjacks, making it a great way to start playing in its own right, and the perfect add-on for the Cryx Necrofactorium Command Starter. With both sets together you can start playing 50 point games, or use them as a base for building a larger army.
Cannibalise your opponents ‘jacks to repair your own with Discerptor Eviscerus’s Chop Shop ability, steal souls for your warcaster through the Malefactor heavy warjack, and sow terror on the battlefield with two light Raptor ‘jacks!
Cryx Necrofactorium Core Expansion
At the core of any formidable Necrofactorium army lies its vast legions of thralls, along with the necrosurgeons who both create and lead them into combat. The Cryx Necrofactorium Core Expansion is the perfect first step in expanding any Necrofactorium Army. At the pinnacle of these necromechanical artificers stands the warcaster, Master Necrosurgeon Sepsira.
Her authority is absolute, commanding her forces with an iron grip that even the dead cannot defy. Her army primarily consists of formidable Mechanithrall Swarms—mechanically enhanced, nearly unstoppable undead servants that fight in unison to dismantle and obliterate any opponent in their path.
Supporting these mechanized thralls are the Necrosurgeon Initiates, skilled in repairing and maintaining them, and the sorcerous Skarlock Lieutenants who serve as their direct overseers. Alongside Sepsira, the malevolent Machine Wraith Dominators wreak havoc on enemy warjacks and warbeasts, carving a path for thralls to break through the enemy vanguard.
Not to be overlooked is Grendel, a savage character warjack known to appear without warning. Grendel often operates independently, bursting from a warren below the earth to strike at the enemy without mercy, and tear them apart with ruthless efficiency. Once it has ensnared its prey with its vicious claws, Grendel swiftly retreats, dragging its victim back to a grim fate.
Cryx Necrofactorium Auxiliary Expansion
The Cryx Necrofactorium Auxiliary Expansion rounds out the ideal undead army. Led by the Lich Lord Dekathus, entrusted with the formidable task of expanding the Necrofactorium network across the mainland. Lich Lord Dekathus commands a fearsome contingent of the Nightmare Empire’s most intimidating heavy thralls. Dekathus himself stands as a vile icon of necromantic prowess, wielding dark magic of unparalleled potency. His very presence is a harbinger of entropy.
Under his command are an array of auxiliary forces designed to sow devastation and terror. The Mechanithrall Brutes, nearly unstoppable in their physical might, serve as the vanguard of his legions. They are complemented by the Sludge Thralls, whose acid-spitting attacks can dissolve both flesh and armor with alarming efficiency. Moving with unnerving speed, the Night Terrors strike fear into the hearts of their enemies, their spectral forms almost impossible to detect until it is too late.
Adding to the strategic depth of his force, Dekathus also benefits from the support of his Iron Lich Commander. This arcane powerhouse wields formidable magical abilities that enhance Dekathus’s necromantic schemes, ensuring that his campaign of terror is both methodical and unyielding. Together, this unholy alliance represents an existential threat to all who stand in the way of their dark ambitions.
Necroharvester and Corpse Crawlers
Unsure of what to get the undead who has it all? Then get the gift that keeps on giving thralls with the Necroharvester and Corpse Crawlers. Unleash the dark efficiency of the Necroharvester on your opponents, a twisted feat of the NecrofactorIum’s unholy engineering.
The Necroharvester can snatch corpses from the battlefield to empower its own relentless advance, or use them to create deadly, explosive Corpse Crawlers.
Harnessing the remains of your enemies and deploying them as a devastating advantage will shake your opponent’s morale and chill their very soul.
Maelstrom Painted Model Reveal
The Cygnar Storm Legion introduces the new colossal warjack, Maelstrom, to strengthen their forces.
The Maelstrom stands as the pinnacle of colossal warjack design, surpassing all predecessors with its innovative technology. Unlike the traditional colossals that rely on the Eschewing, steam engine of traditional warjacks, the Maelstrom is powered by a cutting-edge storm core generator. Providing it with a nearly limitless source of energy. This generator fuels its vast array of weaponry, making the Maelstrom a terrifying force on the battlefield.
Alongside its core arsenal, the colossal is equipped with a pair of shoulder hard points that each house a potent weapon borrowed from the Stryker heavy warjack, either a Heavy Mag-Bolter or an Electro Bombard.
In addition to its massive Storm Wave Projector ranged spray attack and choice of brutal hammers, the Maelstrom also has a pair of compelling left arm options which include either Electro Harpoon Fist, granting the colossal both a melee and a ranged attack, or a Pulse Fist, which in addition to a strong melee attack also grants the Plasma Nimbus special rule.
And since size does matter, how about a quick look at how the Maelstrom’s size stacks up.

Subscriber Content: Forces of the Necrofactorium
This week’s update for subscribers is the Forces of the Necrofactorium, a peek inside the machinations and plotting of Cryx as the Nightmare Empire eyes western Immoren with greed….
Here's a sneak preview:
Though depleted and with their immortal patron languishing, Cryx stirred when the Orgoth returned. The Nightmare Empire readied its armies and prepared to defend its territories from invasion at all costs. Never worried by ones so insignificant as mere mortals, the Dragonfather’s concern was that an Orgoth assault could further weaken and expose the Scharde Islands to attack by the alliance of his progeny, an attack Toruk himself was in no state to repel.
But instead of conflict, the Orgoth met Cryx with entreaty. They came to offer an alliance to be sealed with the delivery of the athanc of Blighterghast, the greatest of Toruk’s children. And when they delivered that stone, it made the Dragonfather whole again. Aside from sealing the alliance, they asked for only one thing: the knowledge of how to kill a god.
