From the Ashen Phoenix to packed event halls, there’s no shortage of noise coming out of the Iron Kingdoms this week. Here’s what’s brewing.

Today’s TL;DR

  • Imperatus rises again — House Kallyss’s Imperatus, Ashen Phoenix goes up for pre-order next week, bringing a reborn legend back to the battlefield

  • Join us at Lock & Load US 2026 — Badges drop this week, so get ready to lock in your place for a big Warmachine weekend in St. Louis

  • Get more Warmachine on your plate — New Warmachine 3D subscribers can score $10 MyMiniFactory store credit when they sign up before April 30

  • Tables worth fighting over — Terrainiacs are bringing the battlefields of Warmachine to you in physical form

  • Warmachine is making noise beyond Caen — Wargamer & Goonhammer make noise about the Iron Kingdoms

  • Update on Kithguard pre-orders in Europe — EU release dates for Kithguard Core & Auxiliary Expansions have moved.

Kithguard EU release date update

For those in Europe who've pre-ordered the upcoming Kithguard sets, please note the Core Expansion will now release on April 28, and the Auxiliary Expansion will now release on May 26. The US and UK release dates haven't changed.

From noble guardian to Ashen Phoenix

Imperatus, Ashen Phoenix rises next week. Once a noble guardian of Ios, now reborn in a blackened iron carapace, this fallen legend returns as a wrathful engine of ruin for Dusk House Kallyss.

Want a closer look before it lands? We’ve already got two reads to sink your teeth into.

First, get a taste of Imperatus’s story in this week’s Heroes & Villains lore on the Warmachine App in From noble guardian to Ashen Phoenix.

Then check out Warmachine game designer Fraser McFetridge’s rules deep dive, where he breaks down exactly how Imperatus devastates enemies as the Ashen Phoenix.

Lock in for Lock & Load US 2026

It's confirmed! Lock & Load US is on November 6-8. The Iron Kingdoms return to St. Louis this year, and badges for Lock & Load US 2026 drop this week.

Start finishing those paint jobs, tightening those lists, and checking calendars. This is your moment to get stuck into one of the biggest weekends of Warmachine.

Don’t miss out on a packed weekend of Steamroller tournaments, Frontlines events, Iron Arena pick-up games, seminars, and legendary last chance qualifier Iron Gauntlet action, all rolled into one gloriously steel-flavoured weekend.

Keep your eyes on Warmachine channels for more details, and be ready to move when badges go live.

Tables worth fighting over

A great game deserves a battlefield with a bit of theatre, and Terrainiacs know exactly how to deliver it. From full terrain sets to striking centrepieces, they’re bringing the battlefields of Warmachine off the screen and onto your table in physical form.

They’ve already helped Warmachine tables look the business at Lock & Load, and now they’re making it easier to bring that same atmosphere home. Ideal if you want your next scrap to feel less like a kitchen-table ambush and more like a proper clash in the Iron Kingdoms.

Warmachine in the news

Warmachine’s been making noise beyond our own channels this week, and for good reason.

Wargamer picked up on the game’s 2026 growth, with 237 Longshanks events in the first three months of the year and the flagship warstore program climbing from 40 stores at GAMA 2025 to 100+ before GAMA 2026, plus another 50 signed by AdeptiCon. Safe to say the battlefields are blazing brightly, full of your games of Warmachine!

Our friends over at Goonhammer have published an excellent article that shows you how to get started with Warmachine right now. It’s great to see many players getting into Warmachine and experiencing the Iron Kingdoms for the first time.

Is it your first time with Warmachine? Get all the details on how to pick up your first army and get into battle.

More eyes on the game is good news, and seeing Warmachine show up in spaces like these is exactly the kind of community spirit we like to see.

Until next week

Whether you’re eyeing up Imperatus, plotting your Lock & Load weekend, or simply hunkering down to slay your grey, we want to hear about it. Get stuck in and join the Warmachine community.
