The devil you know

Join Kapitan Vilkul and the SKS-6 on a daring ambush in this week’s Warmachine lore release, as the Winter Korps force partner with Cygnar to take on the Orgoth raiding Khador. Proof that the enemy of my enemy is my friend — or are they? Here’s an excerpt:
A massive blast pierced the air, momentarily lighting up Khardov’s walls. Vilkul’s mission would bring her closer to the ongoing siege. Nowhere as close as she would have liked, but her role was not to man a city’s walls in its defense. She and her soldiers were Khador’s scalpel, not its shield. SKS-6 was best used to slice open tiny wounds an enemy would not notice until it collapsed from the loss of blood.
“We have guests for dinner.” The Jackal’s voice cut through Vilkul’s musings. Sergeant Lazarenko was her right hand and—if she had one—closest friend. The burly Khardic man jerked a thumb over his shoulder.
“For people who fly everywhere, you’d think they’d manage to make it on time.”
Vilkul followed Lazarenko’s gesture and turned to see the approaching figures. Their armor glinted faintly in reflected flashes of distant artillery. The newcomers looked almost out of place in this scabbed-over landscape. She picked out their leader, Captain Hasker, by the boiler of his warcaster armor. Upon learning of this joint operation, she had requested a profile on the man and his military career. He was responsible for numerous successful strikes against Orgoth forces, almost enough to impress her.
The Hounds were eyeing the Cygnarans with the predatory expressions that earned them their nickname. Korporal Teterya wolf-whistled at the unmarred enamel of the southerner’s armor; it was in stark contrast to the battle-damaged kommando armor she wore.
A man in warcaster armor broke from the group as Vilkul approached, extending a gloved hand. “Captain Buck Hasker. You’re Vilkul?”
