Summon the strength for Thorga

Far from the Iron Kingdoms, the Baying Wolf sails into darkness. What begins as a routine hunt for raiders soon becomes a waking nightmare, as Thorga Boomhowler and her crew cross paths with a Cryxian blackship rising from the mist.
"Water trickled down from somewhere above, a staccato drum that broke through the haze. Unable to move and weightless, Boomhowler sensed she was suspended from somewhere above, her arms and legs bound behind her, leaving her helpless. Pitch black surrounded her on all sides, a prison within an all-consuming void.
Boomhowler couldn’t tell if her eyes were open. Pain chased through her body, the soft and swollen skin around her eyes no exception. A dull ache had taken root in her temples, throbbing in time with every heartbeat, and stealing any hint of sensation from her eyelids themselves.
It was difficult to know how long she had been trapped here in this foul pit, deep in the craw of the earth and far from the sun. Consciousness came and went, fleeting moments of lucidity that blurred into memories and nightmares. In the absence of light, the shadows had somehow rushed up and enveloped her. She floated in inky blackness, deeper than darkness itself, and within that bleak nothingness lurked malevolent horrors and fiends, waiting to gleefully tear her to pieces once her torment had become trite.
Boomhowler tried to speak—to call out. All too late she remembered that she’d tried and failed before. The skin around her throat and jaw pinched painfully, as the metal cable binding her bit deeper, and a fresh wave of agony seared through her flesh. The only reward for her efforts was the taste of copper and a line of drool that slipped from between dry and broken lips and trailed to the ground.
Boomhowler might have passed out there again. Whether she did or not was impossible to know while her mind was so muddled and she was deprived of so many senses. The darkness was overwhelming, the silence deafening, and her limbs were bound so tight that they’d turned numb. With her throat restricted, even breathing presented a challenge, one that consumed her every thought for long moments, bordering on panicked hysteria.
Her body was on the cusp of giving in. Robbed of air from its lungs, adrenaline spent, and overwhelmed by pain, Boomhowler felt her life ebbing away."
Now, deep beneath the earth and far from the sea, Thorga faces horrors no blade can cut and no roar can silence. Shackled in darkness, she’ll be forced to confront her failures, her fears, and a power that may yet claim her soul.
Thorga's life hangs in the balance. Now you can help (or not) to decide it. The choices players make during the Lock & Load 2025 narrative event may shape her fate. Moulding the story that follows.
Read “Summons” now in the Warmachine App, and prepare to take part in the battle that will decide what happens next.
