It’s heavier kit than most armies hand out, and that weight has consequences. The Guard accepts vulnerability for disruption as a trade-off.
Those among the infantry who demonstrate excellence can expect to be either promoted or redeployed as part of more specialized branches, such as the heavy infantry division or, for the rare few, the prestigious rocketmen.
