Epic New Boss Battle
The Erdtree Avatar brings a brand new type of combat to the tabletop – Mounted Tarnished!
While mounted, Tarnished have massively increased mobility. This is a huge advantage in the fight, enabling Tarnshed to sweep in to damage the Avatar, before escaping from the reach of its fearsome blows. But be careful not to let a single hit land though, as a dismounted Tarnished will find themselves extremely vulnerable. 
In addition, the Erdtree Avatar boasts a formidable mechanic, unique to this expansion – Golden Land.
Golden Land features unique and challenging new rules for targeting specific Tarnished at the beginning of each round of combat, before raining golden destruction across the battlefield at the end. Combating and outmaneuvering this new, powerful attack will require no small amount of strategy and every bit of your Tarnished’s new found mobility.
Guardians
The Erdtree Avatar isn’t the only enemy Tarnished must overcome in this expansion. The tenacious Guardians also bar your path to the Minor Erdtree. These new enemies not only wield poisonous weapons, to prolong damage across multiple rounds, but will regenerate their own health every turn.
Plan carefully, or be slowly ground down.
New Equipment
Those Tarnished strong enough to overcome their enemies will be greatly rewarded, with no less than the Staff of the Avatar itself – a unique and powerful new weapon to wield on the path to become Elden Lord!
