What is Director’s Cut?

During the Resident Evil board game Kickstarter, backers explored the Spencer Mansion, unlocking new characters, enemies, game modes, and more. All this became the Director’s Cut, an exclusive expansion that was never released to retail.

Now, for a limited time only, we’re bringing this exclusive expansion back for an encore, so Resident Evil fans who missed out the first time can snag it!

Only available direct from Steamforged, this is a limited reprint of an exclusive expansion that didn’t go to retail. So, if it’s missing from your collection, now’s the time to get it.

What’s Included?

The Director’s Cut expansion introduces new elements to the core game, as well as expanding existing card decks and rules. 

This includes new characters with unique rules and gameplay, additional rules and cards to progress your characters during the campaign, as well as new missions and events to undertake. But the players don’t get all the bonuses—it also adds dangerous new enemies!

Director’s Cut also introduces the poison condition, permanent death for characters, multiple endings, and a ranking system for your campaign.

For even more twists, try out the new game modes. Traitor Mode will have the survivors fighting together while eyeing each other with suspicion, while Real Survival Mode will have the characters darting between safe zones in order to ferry supplies back and forth.

And if you’re a hardcore Resident Evil savant, why not try the One Dangerous Zombie, Battle Game, or Knife Only modes?
