It’s Warmachine Wednesday, and we are all about the Guard this week, with a sneak peek at the upcoming story for the AdeptiCon narrative, who'll be in the firing line after Boomhowlers' unfortunate demise.
The Crucible Guard armoury is opening up, letting you requisition individual units from the Core Expansion. Warmachine 3D FronTier is still live for anyone looking to bring entire armies back to their tabletop, and we’re starting to glimpse what’s coming at AdeptiCon with the Grand Narrative.
Today’s TL;DR
-
Warmachine 3D FronTier — three full armies for your build plate
-
Crucible Guard Core breakouts — requisition individual units from the Core Expansion
-
AdeptiCon Grand Narrative — lore preview lands March 23
-
Thornfall Alliance tactics — How to use your hog
Three armies return — Warmachine 3D FronTier
The Warmachine 3D FronTier campaign launched just yesterday and is already the biggest FronTier on MyMiniFactory. Clearly, printers everywhere are revving to bring these armies back to the table!
Through FronTier, Grymkin, Infernals, and the Convergence of Cyriss are back as full STL armies, ready for home printing. Whether you’re drawn to twisted fairytale horrors, soul-harvesting invaders, or the clockwork disciples of the Maiden of Gears, you can secure an entire force in one place.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s your chance. Early backers can grab a full army of STLs for just $149 before they move to the Warmachine 3D store at the end of the campaign.
Requisition approved — Crucible Guard Core breakouts pre-order
The Crucible Guard believes war should be efficient, decisive, and occasionally very explosive. If you’ve had your eye on the Core Expansion but wanted to pick up additional units, now’s your chance. Because why would you not want the maximum field allowance for the Dragon’s Breath Rockets in every list.
The Crucible Guard Core Expansion troop choices will soon be available individually for pre-order, letting you expand your forces with the exact tools you need for your battlefield strategy.
Need heavy armour on the field? The versatile heavy warjack chassis can become a Toro, Suppressor, or Vindicator, each bringing a different flavour of Crucible Guard problem-solving.
And of course, the Guard wouldn’t be complete without the troops that make it all work. Line infantry hold the front in sealed armour, Rocketmen strike from the skies with carbines and gravity bombs, and Combat Alchemists bring volatile chemical solutions to problems that diplomacy couldn’t fix.
If that still isn’t enough firepower, there’s always the Dragon’s Breath Rocket, the Guard’s answer to long-range persuasion.
Expand your Crucible Guard force exactly how you want it.
Your story begins — AdeptiCon Grand Narrative preview
In this coming Loremachine Monday, we’ll be sharing the first lore preview for the AdeptiCon Grand Narrative event, where players will step into the Iron Kingdoms and shape the story themselves.
In the aftermath of Admiral Thorga Boomhowler’s abduction and murder, the Southern Kriels have seen undead thralls, cephalyx drudges, and Orgoth raiders flood into their homeland—and the foundations of a vast evil are being set in place. Pitch your forces into this crucible and either aid the defenders and purge the threat from their land, or side with the invaders and set in motion a great tragedy that will ripple through Caen and Urcaen both.
If you’re planning to attend or just want a glimpse of the unfolding story, keep an eye out for the Loremachine preview on March 23.

How to use your hogs — Thornfall Alliance tactics
Later this week, Sherwin Matthews, our loremaster and hog enthusiast, will dive into the Thornfall Alliance’s mightiest warlock, Midas. Expect expert tips on using his spell list and unit synergies.
