Ways To Play - Rivet Wars: Reloaded
"The fact remains, we are losing ground. We must adapt our strategy if we are to have any chance in this war."
General Beckendorf
You know the drill…
Rivet Wars: Reloaded Kickstarter is landing on September 6! Follow the page now for a telegram when the campaign deploys.
Today, the briefing focuses on the various ways you can play Rivet Wars: Reloaded. Remember, there are many ways to win a war...
Multiple Play Modes
When playing Rivet Wars: Reloaded, you’ll always play a scenario. Scenarios can range from small skirmishes to full scale battles.
PLEASE NOTE: The above visual is from a demo, Tabletop Simulator version of the game. They are work in progress and not indicative of the final game.
They also differ in type. Some scenarios will see you playing a “search and destroy” mission where tiles are permanently added to the battlefield, organically growing the playing space. Others will see you playing out a “tug of war” as the front lines shift with each wave of reinforcements.
Do you only have the time for one game? Choose any scenario you like the look of, set up the battlefield and get to playing! Because units aren’t deployed en masse at the start of a game, Rivet Wars: Reloaded is quick to set up and get going!
Campaign Mode
Fancy an experience with a bit more gravitas? Rivet Wars: Reloaded comes complete with a six step narrative campaign where you play through and discover what the Blight have been up to, and try to stop them before they end up changing the face of the Rivet World, forever.
OR, play as the Blight! And ensure glorious victory for the Imperial Blightun Empire.
Either way, victory in one scenario will affect the nature of the following scenario. Replaying the campaign may not give the same gaming experience as the first time!
2 vs 2 Mode
Want to play with more friends? You can! Decide which player will control each stat card and collaborate on tactical decisions. Two heads are usually better than one…
With the advent of the Nemoans as a full third faction, you could even end up forming alliances and taking down a foe together!
A.I. Opponent Mode
Feel like flying solo? You can! Shuffle the A.I. and let our new card mechanics control your opponent for you.
Deployment Order cards control which units will be added to the battlefield each turn of the game.
Faction specific Trait cards will grant your A.I. opponent a unique bonus each turn to keep you on your toes!
The A.I. decks are compatible with the narrative campaign too, meaning you can play a solo campaign.
Cooperative Mode
Is the A.I. proving too tough for you? Or do you just fancy playing with your friend rather than against them? Team up and take down the A.I. together!
What does this all mean together? A.I. campaign mode!
Don’t forget to follow the campaign now in preparation for September 6!.
