Whether you’re taking on the fierce monsters of the Ancient Forest, the Wildspire Waste, or beyond, raise your Monster Hunter World game with a brand new set of print-and-play cards, available to download now!
With the release of Picking Bones and Kirin, and the upcoming release of Iceborne, we’ve taken the opportunity to create a whole host of backwards compatible cards, letting you bring some of these new mechanics into your existing Monster Hunter World games. The best part? These print-and-play cards are all available right now, for free!
Today we wanted to give you a closer look at these exciting new cards and what they’ll bring to your games:
No Preparation Actions
First and foremost, you can download the Picking Bones rulebook now. This includes a range of new and improved Stamina Management Rules. If you choose to include these in your game, there’s no longer any preparation actions! You’ll just choose combat actions during the hunting phase.
Item Cards
This is because the mechanics handled by preparation actions are now covered by the new Potion, Ration, and Whetstone item cards, which you’ll play onto your stamina board, just like attack cards. These new item cards are included in the Picking Bones expansion, or can be downloaded now to include in your World games for free!
Stamina Management
Improved Stamina Management is here, and there’s a new end-of-turn sequence, too. When you draw a time card at the end of your turn, instead of discarding one attack card, you can either:
- Discard any one face up attack card from any slot of your stamina board
- Discard any two face down attack cards from any slots of your stamina board
Reference Cards
A handy tool for players of all levels, these brand new downloadable reference cards not only feature the new end-of-turn sequence, but they also improve on the printed versions too. With details on how status ailments affect both hunters and monsters, as well as a newly-summarised version of what happens when your hunter faints, these useful cards are not to be missed.

Additional Downtime Activities
Last but not least, we’re introducing two new Downtime Activities, which can be found both in the Picking Bones rulebook and on their own brand new downloadable reference cards. Those are:
The new downtime activities reference card also includes a copy of the monster rewards dice roll table as an easy reference.
The Hunter’s Lodge
If you’re playing with Palicoes, you can now switch your Palico between quests to make use of different effects. If you’re not playing with Palicoes but could use the extra help for a particular quest, you can now discard any three resources to take a Palico along on your next hunt.
Provisions Stockpile
- Trade common resources: Not got the resources you need? Time to trade! Discard any three common ores, bones, or hides from your character sheet to gain any one common ore, bone, or hide, or even a potion!
- Trade rare resources: Looking for something more unusual? Discard any ten resources from your character sheet to gain any one resource from the reward table of a monster you’ve successfully slain before.
You and your fellow hunters can now also choose three individual Downtime Activities, instead of choosing as a group. There is one exception though, which is Visit the Handler. If just one of you decides to swing by for a visit, you’ll all benefit from the effect.
All of these new print-and-play cards and rules are available to download for free. Grab yours now and add these new cards to your next Monster Hunter World game!
