First Look! Euthia: Cruel Frost Pledge Levels
Greetings, heroes. We’re just a couple of days away from launch now, which means it’s time for the pledge level preview!
(If you haven’t already, don’t forget to follow the Kickstarter so you get notified when we go live.)
In this update, we’ll cover:
- What will be included in the Kickstarter (short answer: everything!)
- What languages will be available
- Sneak peek at the pledge levels
- How the unlocks will work (and some hints on what we’ll be unlocking…)
This is a pretty long article, so we’ve titled each section for easy skimming.
What will the Kickstarter Include?
Cruel Frost is the final instalment of the critically acclaimed Euthia trilogy. So, to complete the saga, we’re bringing back all previous content as well as all the new Cruel Frost content.
In list form, that’s:
- Torment of Resurrection core game (the updated edition from the 2022 resurrection Kickstarter, including the integrated Elementals and Griffin expansions)
- Fierce Powers & Crawling Shadows expansion
- Deluxe Expansion
- Massive Cruel Frost expansion (it’s the same size as the core box!)
- Cruel Frost Deluxe Expansion
- Necromancer Hero Kit add-on
Because Euthia is simply too big to go to retail, all the above is (and was) Kickstarter exclusive. And because Cruel Frost is the final instalment, this Kickstarter will be the final chance to get your hands on everything.
What about languages?
In print, all content will be available in English, French, and German. The Cruel Frost expansion will also be available printed in Czech.
Digitally, the languages available will be Spanish, Polish, and Czech.
What about storage?
We’ve seen a lot of questions about whether an all-in-one storage solution will be part of the Kickstarter. Although it won’t be part of the live campaign, this is something we’ll be looking at for the pledge manager if there’s enough interest.
Pledge Levels!
There will be five pledge levels in the Cruel Frost Kickstarter: Core Box, Cruel Frost, Cruel Frost Deluxe, Trilogy, and Trilogy Deluxe.
Euthia Core Box Pledge
If you’re new to Euthia and looking for an entry point, this pledge gives you the core experience for this critically acclaimed open world board game (8.6 on BoardGameGeek).
It includes the updated edition of the Torment of Resurrection core game, featuring two integrated expansions (Griffin and Elementals), the dice and mini upgrades, and all the stretch goals from the original 2020 Kickstarter.
It’s one seriously big box packed full of replayable, open world gameplay.
As Kevin Outlaw of Always Board, Never Boring, puts it, “This game is huge. It’s a game that wants to create a world — a living, breathing world, populated with enemies and allies — that you can explore and interact with in many different ways.”

Cruel Frost Pledges
If you’re returning to Euthia to complete your collection, welcome back! The Cruel Frost and Cruel Frost Deluxe pledges are for you, featuring all the new content from the live Kickstarter. (Including all the goals yet to be unlocked!)
The Cruel Frost expansion brings a wealth of new content and gameplay to Euthia. So much so that the box is actually the same size as the core box!
As well as new, replayable scenarios, unique new heroes with branching paths, and hair-raising new enemies, Cruel Frost also introduces new gameplay mechanics to upgrade and adapt your core game.
That includes the new Ice Claws module — bringing storms, ice magic, and the ways of the Ice Clans to your game — plus a ton of new items for your heroes to equip and upgrade. (For more details, check out the Cruel Frost designer diary.)

We’ll also be unlocking even more new Cruel Frost content during the campaign, including some (spoiler alert) more unique heroes and new scenarios…
And if luxury components are your thing, the Cruel Frost Deluxe Pledge adds multiple deluxe upgrades, from dual-layer boards to storage towers, special cloth bags, and storage trays.
Trilogy Pledges
Finally, if you’re looking for all the Euthia content from this live Kickstarter and previous campaigns, check out the massive Trilogy Pledges…
These pledge levels include a huge amount of gameplay — both the Fierce Powers & Crawling Shadows and Cruel Frost expansions are about the same size as the core box — while the Trilogy Deluxe adds all the deluxe component upgrades:
Across the core game, Fierce Powers & Crawling Shadows, and the new Cruel Frost expansion, the Trilogy Pledges include an incredible amount of content.

During the Kickstarter, we’ll be unlocking even more gameplay content for the Cruel Frost expansion, including (spoilers!) unique new heroes, scenarios, and more, as we adventure through the challenges of Cruel Frost together.

Update on VAT
Please note that the prices above don’t include VAT for the UK or European Union (EU) countries.
Because of the way VAT is collected in Europe, and its impact on crowdfunding sites in the EU, we can no longer set prices that aren’t VAT exclusive.
If you live in the UK or EU, then VAT will be calculated and charged in the pledge manager based on the total price of your pledge and your country’s VAT rate.
