The pens are open, the trough’s empty, and the Thornfall Alliance are hungry for war.
If you’ve been waiting for this Army of Legend to make its comeback, then today you’ll be happy to hear we’re bringing the bacon.
Today’s headline act is the Thornfall Alliance Command Starter, a ready-to-play 30-point force led by one of the grimmest gourmands in the Iron Kingdoms. And if you fancy dressing the table as well as the army, we’ve also got the Thornfall Alliance Defences Set on deck.
Thornfall Alliance Command Starter
A force built from stubborn survivors, tusked warbeasts, and a kind of pragmatic battlefield greed that only a swine could possess. The Farrow often ask “Can we eat it?” before anything else.
At the heart of the Thornfall Command Starter is Midas, a potent bone grinder turned warlock. He’s climbed from outcast to cult leader to Carver’s inner circle, and he did it by treating every fresh kill like a lesson, a resource, and sometimes dinner.
Bring the bacon
Midas

Midas is ferocious and cunning with a snout for opportunity. He steals strength and knowledge from the fallen, then turns death’s energies into weapons, raising bones and knitting dead flesh back into the fight. When Carver thought he’d finally beaten him in a fight, Midas’ warbeasts defied death and rose once more, and that little trick instantly earned him a place at the warlord’s side.
Lytiersis

Biboars are rare two-headed brutes, massive and almost impossible to tame because the heads are always fighting for control. The beast that became Lytiersis carved a trail of broken, half-eaten carrion through the Bloodstone Marches until Midas found it, subdued it, and decided it was too useful to waste. Now blessed by bone grinder magic, Lytiersis fights in brutal harmony with its master, and comes back from the feast with flesh still clinging to its tusks.
Targ

Targ’s deformity and inquisitive nature got him beaten, then banished, then finally noticed. Shadowing Dr. Arkadius like a bad habit, he started borrowing surgical tools and trying to patch up injured warbeasts, and somehow survived long enough to become the doctor’s battlefield assistant. Targ's got a knack for crude surgery, no aversion to gore, and an almost impressive talent for being in the worst place at the worst time and living through it.
Razor Boars

For as long as the tribes of the farrow have gone to war, they have been accompanied by vicious Razor Boars. Far larger than the wolves utilized by the nations of man for similar purposes, razor boars are primitive and deadly creatures that require little incentive or training to join the farrow in battle.
When loosed upon an enemy, Razor Boars are heedless of their own well-being and charge ahead, intent only on goring their prey to the ground and then feasting.
Who let the hogs out? Boasting a field allowance of 8 multiple Razor Boars can act as your personal horde of tusked warbeasts ready to gore everything in sight.
Bone Grinders

Bone grinders are battlefield butchers and morbid craftsmen. They descend on the freshly fallen, harvest the lingering power of death, then carve talismans and grind bone into powder. Mixed with blood and bile, those grisly brews become potent magic, and in a Thornfall force, that means nothing goes to waste. If it hit the dirt, it’s probably joining the pile.
Got a bone to pick? The Bone Grinders don't work alone, which means they boast a field allowance of four. When the battlefield is strewn with corpses you'll be pleased to have brought along an extra drift of pigs to hasten the grisly job.
Meet the hogs
Ready to go whole hog beyond the Command Starter? War Hog and Road Hog are Dr. Arkadius’ signature warbeast “upgrades” made manifest. They’re built with just enough warped genius in the mix to make you wonder what he did to the poor beasts to get them there.
War Hog
The War Hog is one of Arkadius’ brutal original creations: a great hog pushed past nature’s limits with growth chemicals, vicious surgery, and mechanikal replacements, then driven by steam power and an implanted dial that cranks its aggression into overdrive. Aggression transforms a War Hog into a shockingly proficient melee combatant, its raw violence so intense that it tears through its own stitching.
Road Hog

The Road Hog takes that same grim blueprint and leans into speed. Built leaner and fitted with mechanikal legs designed for sudden bursts of acceleration, it’s made to surge ahead and tear apart dug-in positions. Arkadius didn’t just want a hog that could fight. He wanted one that could get there first.
