Cryx Necrofactorium Auxiliary Expansion
Entrusted with the formidable task of expanding the Necrofactorium network across the mainland, Lich Lord Dekathus commands a fearsome contingent of the Nightmare Empire’s most intimidating heavy thralls. Dekathus himself stands as a vile icon of necromantic prowess, wielding dark magic of unparalleled potency. His very presence is a harbinger of entropy.
Under his command are an array of auxiliary forces designed to sow devastation and terror. The Mechanithrall Brutes, nearly unstoppable in their physical might, serve as the vanguard of his legions. They are complemented by the Sludge Thralls, whose acid-spitting attacks can dissolve both flesh and armor with alarming efficiency. Moving with unnerving speed, the Night Terrors strike fear into the hearts of their enemies, their spectral forms almost impossible to detect until it is too late.
Adding to the strategic depth of his force, Dekathus also benefits from the support of his Iron Lich Commander. This arcane powerhouse wields formidable magical abilities that enhance Dekathus’s necromantic schemes, ensuring that his campaign of terror is both methodical and unyielding. Together, this unholy alliance represents an existential threat to all who stand in the way of their dark ambitions.
Mechanithrall Brutes
The Mechanithrall Brutes are a unit of undead given additional unholy strength by their extensive modifications.
Built by the necrosurgeons to excel on the front line, the Brutes have both Evasive and Unyielding, letting them advance quickly through oncoming fire, and soak melee hits once they’ve closed the distance. Their Steam Fist attacks splinter the enemy vanguard, pushing them back further and further out of formation. No respectable Necrofactorium army would go without them.
Sludge Thralls
The Sludge Thralls are among the Necrofactorium’s more abhorrent creations—truly impressive considering everything the Nightmare Empire’s industrial war machine pumps out is an affront to life itself.
This unit of undead grunts moves quickly through oncoming fire with Evasive, spraying enemies on the way with Bile Cannon, until they reach the front lines. There they can tear into the opponent’s vanguard with their Rippers, and when they’re eventually cut down, they explode in a shower of burning acid.
Night Terrors
Sailing over the battlefield with the keening sigh of scything blades in the air, the Night Terrors strike cold fear into the hearts of those who face the Necrofactorium on the field. These apparitions appear to focus on the weak and injured, using Finisher to pick off enemy models that have already been damaged. If you see the Night Terrors descending on the battle, know this—there is no escape from a death sentence carried out by one of these grim nightmares.
Iron Lich Commander
The Iron Lich Commander is a spellcasting solo that can slip stealthy through the lines thanks to abilities like Invocation of Bitterest Night, and scavenge souls from the dead to feed back to other models, or boost their own attacks.
Knowledge of the Damned also allows the Iron Lich Commander to spend soul tokens and force other models to reroll an attack or damage roll. With the Iron Lich Commander overseeing proceedings, victory for the Necrofactorium is not only expected, it’s inevitable—why not simply accept your new undead overlords sooner rather than later?
