Fellow terraformers, the moment has arrived! The land of Terra Mystica awaits you, ready to be shaped at your command.
This first update covers pledge levels, languages, unlocks, stretch pay, and our first unlock: deluxe metal coins for EVERY pledge level!
After pouring months of work into creating this Special Edition, we’re so excited to finally be able to show you what’s in store, and for you to join us on the journey to the finished game.
Few games have achieved legendary status like Terra Mystica, ranked #36 out of thousands on BoardGameGeek and one of only 25 titles inducted into the Hall of Fame.
We’re collaborating with original publishers, Feuerland Spiele, to celebrate that legacy with an edition that allows Terra Mystica to shine the way it deserves. It’s a classic game with a proven record, and we want to remain true to that experience, which is why we’re not adding to or changing any of the incredible original work of game designers Jens Drögemüller and Helge Ostertag.
Terra Mystica’s design is timeless, and our goal is simple: to create the definitive edition of one of the best board games of all time, bringing all expansion content together into one place for new and existing fans to treasure and enjoy over and over again.

Gamefound exclusive – won’t go to retail
Terra Mystica Special Edition is Gamefound Exclusive, which means it won’t go to retail. Pledging on Gamefound is the best way to stake your claim on the ultimate edition of one of the best eurogames of all time.
Six languages available!
As well as English, you can choose to get Terra Mystica Special Edition in French, German, Polish, Spanish, or Italian
Language support is something we’re really excited to be able to offer in this campaign, so even more Terra Mystica fans will be able to enjoy this incredible game.
Stretch Pay for no extra cost
Gamefound offers Stretch Pay, which lets you divide your pledge into installments for no extra cost.
- To use Stretch Pay, the minimum pledge is 80 GBP, and the installments are interest-free.
- Your first installment will be paid when the campaign ends (November 18th).
- Future installments will be withdrawn on the 18th of every month, or the closest working day, until your total pledge balance is paid.
- You can pay the balance (or add an extra payment) whenever you like.

The big unveiling! We’ve got three pledge levels in this campaign: Settler, Terraformer, and Town Founder. We’ll start with the answer to the most common question we get in campaigns:

💠 Settler Pledge - Core Experience
The heart of the experience, the Settler Pledge includes Terra Mystica Special Edition with all-new artwork, upgraded wooden meeples and components, triple-layer boards, the integrated Automa Expansion (with solo mode), and upgrades to be unlocked.
🔥 Terraformer Pledge - Gameplay All-in
For dedicated terraformers and those ready to delve deeper into the possibilities Terra Mystica has to offer, the Terraformer Pledge includes all gameplay ever created for Terra Mystica.
As well as the Special Edition Core Box (with the integrated Automa Expansion), this pledge gets you the complete Special Edition Expansion Vault featuring all-new artwork, upgraded wooden meeples and components and triple-layer boards, plus upgrades to be unlocked.
Inside the Expansion Vault, you’ll find every expansion not already included in the Special Edition Core Box: Fire & Ice, Merchants of the Sea, Special Landscapes & Promo Tiles, and even the newly-released Fan Factions expansion which introduces 20 fresh factions from renowned creators such as Isaac Childres, Jamey Stegmaier, and Richard Sivel.
🏰 Town Founder Pledge - Everything!
The ultimate pledge for the ultimate edition, Town Founder is for players who want the most stunning, deluxe version ever created of this award-winning eurogame.
The Town Founder pledge includes everything from the Terraformer Pledge (Terra Mystica Special Edition, Terra Mystica Expansion Vault, and all unlocks) plus all four deluxe acrylic and neoprene upgrades, at a bundle and equivalent MSRP discount.
Unlocking upgrades
We’re showing the full offering upfront so you know exactly what’s in store and can easily choose the best pledge for you. Terra Mystica is an existing game and this is the best possible version you can get, including all available gameplay and previously released expansion content, with deluxe upgrades. Simple!
Still, we have a few small surprises up our sleeves! Throughout the campaign, we’ll be unlocking bonus cosmetic upgrades for your pledges, for free. No need to hit funding totals or milestones to get these; they’re extras we’ll be adding just to say “thank you” for your support in coming on this journey with us to finalise and bring Terra Mystica Special Edition to life.
🔓 First unlock: Metal coins!
Last but certainly not least, our first unlock. Every pledge has now been upgraded to receive a treasure trove of 80+ deluxe metal coins!
