Immoren has felt the tremors, seen the veiled signs, and heard the whispers.
Now, the Dusk Phantasm has arrived.
House Kallyss's first colossal, The Phantasm is available to pre-order now — an eerie, winged juggernaut that marries elegance with devastation. A centrepiece both visually and tactically, this is the model many have only dreamed of... until now.
Before we show you what this soaring colossal looks like standing next to your Eidolons and Ghasts (spoiler: it’s massive), let’s talk about what makes the Phantasm a force to reckon with on the battlefield, and in your collection.
From concept to carnage: inside the Phantasm's design
How do you create a colossal that feels nimble, spectral, and devastating — without breaking the game?
The Warmachine development team reveals the story behind the Phantasm’s unique mechanical and aesthetic identity:
“The sleek and arcane design language of the Iosans married to the gloomy and mournful nature of House Kallyss spawned a dynamic colossal that epitomizes their nature within the Phantasm.
We knew we wanted the House Kallyss 120-mm model to stand out visually while still being an unmistakable part of their army. The bearing of a fallen angel infused with their warjack design created a striking model, but we also knew its rules needed to match while offering the army a piece it would desire...
The Phantasm’s elegant visual design lent itself to being fast, maneuverable, and evasive, but many of those properties are difficult to implement on a huge model without creating severe imbalances or negative play experiences. We tried to walk a careful line of representing these aspects without overdoing it by giving it above average speed, flight, and Phantasmal Field.
For armament, the Phantasm has no shortage of options, but we wanted to make sure that they weren’t only desirable but offered a range that could be appealing with different casters and encourage different play styles within the builds...
The result of our careful deliberations is a dangerous piece of eldritch engineering that can descend from the skies to bring swift death to the enemies of Dusk while supporting its army and deftly evading enemy fire. Some began to believe the model was only myth as rumors and signs of it have taunted players from the shadows for months, but the Phantasm has finally manifested to be deployed against Dusk’s foes.”
Elegance in motion, horror in form
Part fallen angel, part eldritch war machine, the Phantasm is as much a visual centrepiece as it is a tactical powerhouse.
With multiple build options straight out of the box — including two head sculpts, two chest assemblies, and configurable left/right Hex Blade arms — the Phantasm can be tailored to match your army’s strategy or your personal aesthetic.

War-fueled artistry: battlefield capabilities
The Phantasm isn’t just here to look haunting. Its weapon systems are rooted in ancient, long-forbidden arcanika. Time-rending Chronophage Cannons. Reality-tearing Desolators. Revivifiers that can raise the dead before they even fall.
The Hex Blades alone are metallurgical marvels, humming with raw entropy and able to cut through enemy lines like butter.
More than just raw power, the Phantasm’s design incorporates eldritch technologies like:
-
Phantasmal Field generators that blur its form mid-flight
-
Entropic energy fields that draw power from both the living and the dead
-
Advanced kinetic capacitors that convert incoming fire into focus
From the vaults of Kallyss: the full lore

House Kallyss didn’t craft the Phantasm overnight. These towering myrmidons are rare, costly, and constructed with ancient precision — a terrifying blend of necromantic engineering and soul-bound control.
Here's the full story behind the Phantasm's creation and design, straight from the pen of Jason Soles:
Harrowing the battlefield from the skies like a primordial avatar of death, the Phantasm is a triumph of eldritch engineering. The nodes of its great wings crackle with radiant teleforce energies, providing the motive force behind both its most explosive attacks and its capacity for flight. Heirs to the vast and destructive knowledge of the ancient houses of Vyre and Shyeel, House Kallyss designed these malefic machines to respond to the chthonic calls of its masters’ undying minds and armed them with a devastating suite of doomsday weapons culled from the darkest technologies ever developed by the old hallytyr. These include time rending Chronophage Cannons, void projecting Desolators, and necromantic Revivifiers with the power to seize control of the dead before their bodies fall insensate to the earth. Their massive arcanika Hex Blades are metallurgical wonders honed to razor sharpness and thrumming with raw destructive energies.
These towering myrmidons also integrate more subtle capabilities of Iosan ingenuity, including optically disrupting Phantasmal Field generators that blur their forms as they soar into battle, entropic energy fields capable of rendering arcane power from the destruction of the living and the dead, and advanced kinetic capacitors that can draw a charge from the fury of enemy attacks directed at the hulking colossal. Any one of these capabilities would be defining of the battlefield role of the Phantasm, but combined together in different configurations they amount to a nightmarish synergy of apocalyptic might. Where once Ios would have have feared to unleash such ruinous weapons upon their enemies, both from fear of terror born reprisals and the mortal corruption such wanton destruction inflicts upon the soul, the unliving eldritch have no such petty concerns. And the provocations of their great enemies, sworn into the service of the infernal Fellgoeth, deserve nothing less than total desolation.
Constructing each Phantasm requires a vast expenditure of resources along with dedicated and skilled labor. The hull of the Phantasm is artificed from layers of complex arcane alloys that can only be produced under exacting conditions. These alloys allow for the transference of energies required for the function of the myrmidon’s Phantasmal Field and Teleforce Projector. The sophisticated machineries of its most advanced weapons and components require even more careful production. As a result, the Phantasms have only yet been produced in small numbers, but they have already begun to tilt the balance of power across Western Immoren, prompting the next evolution of the endless arms race continually plaguing the continent.
