Cognifex Cyphon is the thought-butcher of the Thornwood hive and a scalpel Exulon Thexus wields against the most dangerous of his foes. An inquisitor and assassin alike, Cyphon is the senior-most cognifex of the hive, a specialization of cephalyx who practice a violent form of telepathic interrogation. 

Cyphon’s work requires him to go to the surface, extracting insights from the dying or targeting critical resources for extended telepathic interrogations. To maintain sterility and security, Cyphon travels in a black shell of his own design, equipped with insectoid limbs tipped with surgical blades and manipulators, useful for investigation and defense.
