Drudge conduits are chosen from abductees for their limited usefulness in other roles and reconditioned with specialized enhancements, making them crude but effective conduits for the mental power of the cephalyx.

When used in battle, the fate of a drudge conduit is grim but brief: one powerful psychic attack as they channel the mental force of a cephalyx’s will—then their minds are burned away, leaving behind a mindless shell of flesh and bones that, while still technically alive, is little more than an organic machine lacking the awareness that it should be dead.
