The Shadow Seraph is not a predator that hides beneath the earth. It is a warning written across the sky. Amongst the Khymaera, its silhouette has already become legend, a vast shape trailing blighted dusk through the clouds while lesser creatures watch in reverent silence. Where the Shadowflame Shard once survived through secrecy and restraint, the Shadow Seraph announces something far more dangerous, ambition unbound.

Its existence speaks as much of Saeryn as it does the creature itself. Born not from instinct or necessity but from calculated design, the Shadow Seraph emerged from a mind increasingly consumed by visions of catastrophe and supremacy alike. In shaping it, Saeryn revealed a truth long feared by Rhyas, that the scars left by Everblight’s dominion were never as distant as either sister wished to believe.

Now the beast moves like living twilight across Western Immoren. Darkness spills from its wings in suffocating waves, blight dripping from quills and claws as though the air itself rots in its presence. Even its elegance feels cruel, every motion precise, every strike delivered with terrifying certainty. The Shadow Seraph does not descend upon its prey in fury. It arrives with purpose.

The age of hiding is ending.

Within the Shadowflame Shard, the beast is regarded with awe as much as apprehension. Many see it as the next stage of Khymaeric evolution, a symbol that their hidden civilization is finally ready to step into the world openly and claim its place amongst greater powers. Others look upon it and see echoes of the Legion of Everblight, a reminder of horrors they were meant to leave behind. Few dare voice such concerns aloud.

Yet the Shadow Seraph continues to soar above them all, untouchable and defiant. It carries Saeryn’s will into the skies, proclaiming that the Khymaera will no longer cower beneath stone and darkness while enemies gather at their borders. Whether it heralds salvation or ruin remains uncertain. What cannot be denied is that the Shadow Seraph marks the moment the Khymaera stopped hiding from the world, and began demanding the world fear the shadow.
