Shiny NEW news for Lock & Load EU 2026
Published on  Updated on

In case you missed it (despite us going on about it for the past several months), Lock & Load EU 2026 is happening next week!

From May 15-17, you can hang out with the Warmachine team at the Magna Centre in Sheffield, play games, join painting sessions, get behind-the-scenes insights, and pick up some very special stuff™ from our onsite store.

Got your badge already? We applaud your forward planning, excellent taste, and keen sense of occasion.

Not got your badge yet? You’ve got seven days to make it right! Because if you can get to Sheffield, you’re not going to want to miss this.

Now, on to the shiny new news….

Behind-the-scenes Warmachine sculpting with Russ Charles

Obviously, we’re massive fans of Russ’s work, but with good reason. He won’t tell you this himself, but he’s actually an award-winning sculptor, and has had a hand in many of the incredible Warmachine miniatures you’ve seen come to life since we took on the game.

(And one or two before that, too.)

Now, you’ve got a chance to get behind-the-scenes with Russ in three live sculpting seminars, where he’ll create a Kithguard-flavoured variant of the Warchief Bagadibawm before your very eyes over the course of the weekend!

Better yet, after Lock & Load, the final variant will be made available in the Warmachine 3D Tribe for all subscribers to print at home!

Be first to experience Warmachine XR

We’re pumped / thrilled / buzzing / delighted to announce Lock & Load EU 2026 will host the first ever Warmachine XR experience!

On Saturday and Sunday, join the Playseer team for a hands-on look at their revolutionary XR prototype.

More than standard VR, XR (Extended Reality) bridges the gap between physical and digital play. Play with physical Warmachine minis against opponents over the internet via high-fidelity holograms. Wargaming and cutting-edge spatial computing? Count us IN.

(Walk-up only.)

Keynote time change

First of all, our Lock & Load EU livestream will no longer be referred to as a keynote. It’s actually a bit weird to have multiple keynotes in a year, so we’re calling it a preview instead. Same content, more sensible name.

Second of all, the Lock & Load EU 2026 Preview will now take place at 9pm on Friday.

There are good reasons for this that we can’t spoil yet, but suffice to say you do not want to miss it — and you definitely don’t want to miss visiting the onsite store on Saturday, either.

The preview will still be streaming for anyone who can’t make it. Sub to the Warmachine YouTube now to get notified when we go live!

Onsite and online stores

For those at the show, there’s an onsite store with a curated collection including boxed sets for Kithguard and other armies, Core Books (which the team will be happy to sign!), show exclusive variants of Abraham Stormcraw, Extreme Strix, Vilkul the Wolf, Baron of Dice accessories, and more that we won’t spoil right now.

Our online Lock & Load store will also be open throughout the weekend for the folks at home.
