Painted Model and Rules Reveal: Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance

Wednesday has arrived, which means it’s time for your weekly drop of new content and
features in the WARMACHINE app!

This week it’s all about Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance, as she gets a painted model reveal, rules drop and is the focus of this week’s subscriber content in the latest Heroes and Villains.  However, before she drops a full volley of arrows onto the field, a quick update on upcoming events at Adepticon 2025, and some schedule changes around the holidays.

Rules and Painted Model Reveal: Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance

Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance is a formidable warlock in the Khymaera Shadowflame Shard army, designed to safeguard allies while sniping her opponents. Lylyth’s Warping Winds ability disrupts enemy ranged attacks and shields her close-by forces from blast damage, making her a vital defensive asset.

She also makes her allies deadlier with her field marshal ability—Run & Gun—allowing her troops to strike swiftly at the enemy’s core then reposition to secure critical objectives. Add to that her Deadeye spell, which enhances her army's ranged capabilities, granting improved accuracy to a friendly model’s next attack, and  Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance will be a must have for any Khymaera players collection.

This week’s update for subscribers is the latest entry in Heroes & Villains. Lylyth, the Raven Vengeance, will find her place with Rhyas and Saeryn, but first she will have a dragon to contend with…

Passed from the harsh tutelage of her stern Nyss father to the callous supremacy of the Legion of Everblight’s patriarch Thagrosh, Lylyth has devoted her life to the pursuit of approval from those who would never offer it. Attempting to satisfy ghosts that existed only as memories of what was lost, she forced herself down a self-destructive path. Her tribal identity and culture had died on a quest for vengeance that consumed all who followed her. She was manipulated and used as a tool of conquest, becoming further lost until she no longer recognized herself.

She has now learned her obsessive malignance that steered her down a path of loss wasn’t a moment of misguided weakness—it was who she was. As a Khymaera, her motivations have crystalized. She has become an agent of assimilation, tirelessly hunting all outsiders in order to convert them. Through Rhyas and Saeryn’s ability to implant memories and fragmentary consciousnesses, she hopes to resurrect the Nyss legacy within these new shells.
