New lore in the Warmachine app: The Gorger Compendium

The Gorger Compendium digs deep into the ancient beast that Zevanna Agha has kept hidden for centuries. These are not mere monsters. They are living calamities forged during the Wurm’s most chaotic ages.
Here is a sneak preview straight from the compendium:
“The cracking of timber and felling of trees portend one’s arrival. A rasping babel of discordant words in forgotten tongues chattering from its numerous mouths accompanies the splintering crashes. It claws its way through the branches as its hooves churn the earth beneath it like a bizarre mammalian arachnid whose body is at war with itself. Its aura of primality incites nearby creatures with its inflections of the Devourer. The gorger is an abomination from lost ages, weaponized as a living nightmare to prey upon those who would stand against the Old Witch and her prophecies.
Buried by the sands of time, an anomaly of eras long past dwells in the deeper places of the world. Its nature and appearance are uncomfortably alien: four legs and four arms, a chaotic blend of flesh and bone, and an asymmetrical nest of chattering vestigial skulls ringing its head that would confound any anatomist. It bears an insatiable voracity that could lead to its dismissal as a mindless beast, yet it carries crude weapons and adornments betraying greater than animal intelligence.
Such immortal monstrosities from prehistory once ruled the primitive peoples as forest gods, demanding endless tributes of flesh until they were finally defeated, trapped, or subdued by magic. Now they’ve been awakened again into the modern age, and they are even more ravenous after centuries of hibernation, eager to coat their desiccated bony maws with an endless flow of blood. If not for Zevanna’s mastery over these creatures, they would run rampant until culled or their limitless hunger was sated by fawning masses offering endless feasts. Bound by her magics, however, gorgers can be manipulated by the warlocks of Old Umbrey to direct their appetite toward those who would threaten Khador’s future.”
