Website Order Update | Warmachine
Steamforged checking in with an update on Warmachine pre-orders from the announcement wave.
(This doesn’t include pre-orders for upcoming new releases, i.e. Yana, Orsus, or Cryx Necrofactorium.)
Shipping Process
The way we worded the previous update seems to have caused some understandable confusion, so we wanted to clear that up.
We described orders as first being shipped to the hub, then on to you. This has been read by some as meaning we’ve added an extra step in the shipping process.
In reality, the process is no different than a parcel being collected by a postal company and taken to a sorting hub to be shipped on, something many of you will have seen happen when tracking other parcels.
(If you’ve shopped online before, you’ve probably seen your parcels pass through several facilities before they get to you, especially when travelling over longer distances.)
The only difference here is, due to volume, we’re working with a large scale hub rather than a domestic shipping partner to initially sort and send. The hub will then work with domestic partners and issue your tracking details.
Shipping Status
- As of last week, more than 90% of pre-orders arrived at the shipping hub and are in the process of being sent on to customers.
- We’re expecting the shipping hub to have sent those orders (the 90%) out to customers by the end of this week.
- We’re working through the remaining 10% as we speak and will continue over the next 7 to 10 days, including production, shipping to the hub, and the hub shipping to customers.
If you’re in the US, delivery time for your orders is typically 2 to 5 days. For the UK and EU, while we’re still shipping from the US, the delivery time is between 7 and 15 days.
We want to see Warmachine being played in stores everywhere, and the sooner we get your orders to you, the sooner that can happen. The 50% production capacity increase is now fully online in the US and we’re still working hard behind the scenes on getting domestic manufacturing online in the UK, EU, and Australia in the next two months.
To speed things up further, and as part of putting the new production pipelines in place, we’re moving towards holding ready-to-ship stock at our hubs. This will significantly speed up the order process, as instead of waiting for direct resin orders to be produced, there will be existing stock we can ship straight to you.
We appreciate you bearing with us over the bumps in the road as we steer this ship into clearer waters (yes, we’re mixing metaphors) and hope you’ll share plenty of painted mini photos, battle reports, and game pictures when your models arrive.
